The most recent scholarship recipients have been announced this fall. The four recipients of the Steve Johnsen Scholarship began Fall classes in August.
Damaris Vicarte, a past recipient in her final year at University of Colorado Denver, is studying Business Marketing.
Valentina Nunez, another past recipient, is finishing her associate’s degree in Nursing, while working full time at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Two new scholarship recipients are La Academia alum Lizbeth Martinez who is graduating in December with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and Stephanie de la Rosa who began her freshman year at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
