Greens-N-Grains

The food truck is the Greens-N-Grains' mobile program. The truck distributes healthy meals to youth in Denver's food deserts and neighborhoods where food insecurity is high.  The food truck partners with schools and after-school programs during the school year to distribute 600 meals per week, including at weekend sporting events.

During the summer, the food truck provides daily summer lunches at two food sites over the course of ten weeks. Over 7,000 meals are provided during a season of high food insecurity.

Staff members engage youth in nutrition and health education at the food truck sites. The mobile curriculum includes youtube videos, social media posts, recipes, games, and demonstrations to engage youth and families in healthy and active lifestyles.
