DICP'S WISHLIST

Updated: Jan 5

UPDATED JANUARY 5, 2023

Help DICP support our community by donating necessary items like food, blankets, and hygiene supplies!

At DICP we rely on the generosity of our supporters to provide services to our community. To Donate, please arrive 9:00am-1:00pm Monday through Friday and be ready to fill out an In-Kind Donation Form that estimates the value of the items. All donations are tax-deductible, and we can provide you with a copy of your donation form for your records.

I want to drop something off, but I can't come between 9a and 1p. How do I donate to DICP?

Please give us a call (303.629.0636) or an email (communications@dicp.org) and we can try to schedule an appointment on a weekday between 1pm and 5pm.

Do you take food donations?

Absolutely! We take any and all dry goods as long as they are not expired.

We wish we could take all perishables, but it depends on how much room we have in our refrigerators and freezers. Give us a call to see if we can take your food donation!

Do you take clothing donations?

Sort of; we do not have a clothing bank, so space for clothing donations is very limited.

We prefer if you have clothing to donate to us, you limit items to small winter accessories and comfortable walking shoes. As listed above, we do take baby clothing on a regular basis.

If you're looking to donate more formal clothing, we recommend our neighbor down the street, Haven of Hope! They have a specific program to provide participants with clothing for work and job interviews.

What CAN'T I donate?

Please do not attempt to donate home furniture, we do not have the room and do not offer it as a service. Though we can accept blankets, we cannot take any bedding or sheets. Other domestic items may be useful if we have the space, please call us to check and see.

We cannot take any alcohol products in the food pantry, so please keep those out of your donation. We also need all food donations to be at least two weeks before the expiration date.

And, as always, please make sure that whatever you donate is clean and ready to use.

Do you take Christmas/Holiday presents?

In 2022, we opted out of distributing presents at our building. We have very limited space for items like toys, but if you have small items like board games or card games, we can distribute them out of our little library.
