The Parish holds ecumenical worship services twice each month, several of which are bilingual. We honor the Mexican culture of our community by including Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Las Posadas (The Inns, pre-Christmas), Dia de los Tres Reyes (Day of the Three Kings), and Candlemas as special celebrations each year. All of our worship services include dinner and a time for community-building.
• Our Community at Worship also includes opportunities to visit other churches whose members often visit us in return.
• We offer Vacation Bible School to the children of Summer Day Camp, and Bible Study once each month during the school year.
• We have an annual film series, and during the summer, hold monthly bowling nights for worship community members.
• When well-known religious leaders speak in Denver, we work to have members of the worship community attend. This past year we’ve attended lectures by Marcus Borg and Jim Wallis.
At the Parish we work to build relationships with other communities of faith. Church youth groups participate in Urban Encounters through the Mennonite-inspired Discovering Opportunities for Outreach and Reflection (D.O.O.R) program and through our own Urban Scavenger Hunt projects. Staff members conduct tours of our community for church groups, and provide speakers to adult and youth Sunday School Classes.
If you would like to attend a worship service at the Parish, please give us a call for dates and times.
