We Don't Waste

we don't waste

WE DON’T WASTE collects and distributes food leftover from events, caterers, restaurants and other major food providers to charitable agencies, providing unused, fresh meals that would otherwise go to waste.  From prepared meals to baked goods and produce, we help our donor partners share nutritious food that is incorporated into the food programs of our community-based agency partners.  The distribution of these products minimizes the waste and improves the health and well being of the clients, reduces the food expenses of each agency, and contributes to the development of a green collaborative in the community.  Many agencies have experienced a significant increase in need in their food programs.  Some have experienced as much as a 50% increase in the number of individuals seeking assistance.  In addition we distribute other surplus items such as bedding, clothing and equipment no longer utilized by business.  We Don’t Waste distributed over 700,000 servings of food in 2010.
