Project Su Casa is a program of the Denver Inner City Parish that assists homeless and other disenfranchised individuals with their needs. These services are ones that DICP has always provided, but over the last year we have seen an increase in need.
The major causes of homelessness in the United States include a lack of affordable rental housing, rising rates of poverty, eroding job opportunities, diminishing access to healthcare services (especially treatment for mental illness and addiction disorders), and declining public assistance – now exacerbated by the escalating costs of childcare, gas, food, and electricity.
